In the meeting, Hon. Dr. Gurirab and Ambassador Hückmann recognized the good, wide-ranging bilateral relations between Namibia and Germany and both parliaments, in particular.

Hon. Dr. Gurirab highly values a training programme for employees of the Parliament which is presently implemented by the Konrad-Adenauer Foundation. He thereby expects an overall improvement in parliamentary work.

Both parties appreciated the establishment of the Namibian-German Friendship Group by Namibian parliamentarians. Ambassador Hückmann cherished his hope for members of this group to be invited to visit the German Bundestag during the first half of 2013.

Both sides expressed their willingness to boost the relations between both countries, particularly in the field of economic development co-operation, and to conduct a future orientated political dialogue.
