(© © Frank Albin) The Federal Foreign Office supports some 120 to 140 projects of varying sizes each year around the world, predominantly in emerging and developing countries in Africa, Asia, Central and South America and Eastern Europe. Often even relatively modest contributions of about 10,000 Euros can help to make a tangible and lasting improvement to the human rights situation on the ground.

OYO Project Agreement 2016

„In and Out” German Embassy supports Human Rights Project by the Ombetja Yehinga Organisation (OYO)

On 1 February 2016 Ambassador Christian Schlaga and the Director of OYO Philippe Talavera signed a project agreement whereby the German Embassy will support the Namibian non-governmental organisation OYO to the tune of 761.476 N$ (approx. 44.000 EUR).

Human Rights Project

Agreement on Human Rights Project signed

On 16 April 2015 the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Namibia, Onno Hückmann, and Namibian Ombudsman John Walters signed a project agreement according to which the Federal Republic of Germany supports a human rights project by the Office of the Ombudsman to the tune of 500,000.00 N$.
