The Director of Policy at the Ministry of Higher Education, Training and Innovation, Mr Tuaunda Keeja, has been invited to participate in a visit to Germany, themed “Germany as a location for study and research”. The visit takes place from 12 until 18 November 2017 and is part of the Visitors Programme of the Federal Republic of Germany.
Together with journalists, education and labour market experts from around the world, Mr Keeja will be presented Germany’s policy on university-level education and promoting research with a focus on framework conditions for foreign students and researchers.
The programme informs on international cooperation and scholarships (e.g. the Research in Germany initiative of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research, German Academic Exchange Service, Alexander von Humboldt Foundation, German Research Foundation) as well as specific examples in the areas of academic and scientific research (e.g. Max Planck Research School, Fraunhofer Institute) and of research cooperation with industry (e.g. Bayer, Jenoptik). The programme also includes a visit to Friedrich Schiller University Jena (graduate student academy, exchange programme for visiting academics and scientists).
